History and reputation
Long overshadowed by Cloud 9, Jacking Horse has established itself over the years as a reference among surfers who truly know Siargao. Its name evokes the sudden power of the wave — a brutal "jacking" that can catch the uninitiated off guard — but its long, consistent left makes it ideal for progression without the crowds and pressure of Cloud 9.

- Bottom: Shallow coral reef at low tide — watch your knees

⚠️ Safety: Like all reef breaks, Jacking Horse requires basic safety awareness: never surf alone, beware of the reef at low tide, and always give right of way to locals who know the spot inside out.
Best season to surf Jacking Horse
- October to April: Peak season, ideal surf conditions, though the weather can be rainy
- March to September: Consistent but smaller swells, clean conditions, light winds — ideal for progression
How to access the spot
- From Sweet Paradise Villa: 20 metres on foot — monitor conditions from your terrace before paddling out
- From General Luna centre: 10 minutes by scooter or tuk-tuk
- From Siargao Airport: 30–40 minutes by van or tricycle
- Entry: Free — direct access from General Luna beach
