Getting around General Luna
The scooter is the king of transport in Siargao. Rental runs between ₱400 and ₱600 per day. Local tuktuks and tricycles also cover the village. From Sweet Paradise Villa, all spots and restaurants are less than 10 minutes away by scooter.

🏄 Surfing
From Cloud 9 to Jacking Horse and Stimpy's, the island has spots for every level. Go early morning for optimal conditions and fewer people in the water.
🚤 Island Hopping
The classic Siargao day trip: a bangka (traditional Filipino boat) tour of Naked Island, Daku Island and Guyam Island. Expect ON AVERAGE ₱1,500–₱2,500 per person. Negotiate directly at the port in the morning.
🌊 Sugba Lagoon
45 minutes north of General Luna by boat, Sugba is one of the Philippines' most beautiful lagoons — turquoise waters, wooden diving platform, paddleboard. Book early as the site limits daily visitors.
💧 Maasin River and the Magukopongo natural pools
About a 20-minute scooter ride from General Luna, the Maasin River offers a refreshing swim surrounded by mangroves and tropical forest, far from the buzz of the coast. Nearby, the Magukopongo natural pools feature clear rock-lined pools, perfect for a break away from the surf spots. Entry is ₱100 per person.
📍 Our tip: Combine Sugba Lagoon in the morning (7am departure) with the Maasin River and the Magukopongo natural pools for a full day between the sea and nature.
🛺 Scooter tour of the island
The road around Siargao is one of the Philippines' most beautiful two-wheel rides. Head to Pacifico in the north for waves, Santa Monica for mangroves, and finish at Del Carmen for a sunset. Allow a full day.
